BIBLE STUDY: JAMES 1:22-25

Hey guys and welcome back to my blog. Today we are going to continue our bible studies from yesterday. But before we get started lets pray for the Holy Spirit to come to us and teach us and give us the knowledge that we need to understand what we are about to study.

Once you are done praying grab your bible and a journal and lets start our bible study.

                                                        James 1:22-25

22 But don't just listen to Gods word. You must do what it says. Otherwise you are fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don't obey, its like glancing at your face in the mirror. 24  You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. 25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free , and if you do what it says and don't
forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.

On verse 22 where it says don't just listen to Gods word,is telling you to understand and acknowledge what God is trying to tell you. We cannot only be hearers, that hear what God is telling us and move on we also have to be doers, that do what God is telling us to do.

For if you listen to the word and don't obey, its like glancing at your face in the mirror.  You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like.
                                                             v : 23 &24

* when you see yourself in the mirror and you see an imperfection, what do you do?
You would do something about it, to fix it right?

-This verse is talking about you looking at yourself in Gods "mirror"  you notice the imperfection and you walk away without doing anything about it and forgetting about it.

But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don't forget what it says and don't forget what you heard, then God will bless you for it.
                                                   v: 25
(perfect law/ law of liberty) - you can find this again on James 2:12

Law of liberty/perfect law = Is the true freedom, the freedom to obey God and do what pleases him.The law Christ gives us is freedom from sin through the gospel.

- So remember the Perfect law/ law of liberty and don't forget it and God will bless you for it.

I hope you guys enjoyed this Bible study and learned a lot from it. The last part Part 3 will be up tomorrow and we will cover everything we learned on this chapter. Before you close your bible say a closing prayer, thanking the Holy spirit for giving you the knowledge and understanding that you needed to understand this bible study.

                                    GOD BLESS
