THE ONLY EVER LASTING. ISAIAH 20:8
We live in a world that changes standards every decade or so. It tells us what is defined as pretty or not, relationship goals, what is right and what is wrong. In a world that a person may want to be your friend or partner one day and the next may not. We will never know ourselves if we depend on the world to define these things for us. Because the world is constantly changing, you see people who get lost and don't know what they want or who they are, and so they go on this route to find themselves and try to find something constant, they try to find happiness. The truth is that nothing in this world is constant including us.
The only thing that will forever be constant is the word of God no matter how many time people have tried to change it. God will always reveal to us his word.
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever.”
Isaiah 40:8
It does not say as long as you are a believer or as long as you love him but "forever" meaning before we were here and way after we leave, the word of God will stand.
The love of God "endure forever"
The mercy of God "endure forever"
The kindness and forgiveness or God "endure forever"
This verse helps strengthen our faith, because at time we lose faith in humanity in this world that is so cruel and unjust but when we look up to the heavens to the one that created us and we see how beautiful his creation is, we need to be reminded that he "endures forever" no matter the sins we have done. We come to him with an open heart and asking for forgiveness he will be there. Trust in God and you will find true happiness, true peace. You will find yourself in the midst of the storm.
