FORGIVENESS (SOAP METHOD)

S: For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.                        
                                                                                 Matthew 6:14

O: * God is a very forgiving Father and we all know that, if you have been walking with Him for a while.
* Just as he instructs us to love one another he also asks us to forgive.
* He made us in his image ( Genesis 1:27) and He is love ( 1 John 4:16). He made us in his image and we are called to love, so why is it so hard for us to sometimes love one another and forgive no matter what? Sometimes it may be harder for us to forgive if that person did something unfathomable but we can always ask God to put that in out heart.
* God is not asking us to be perfect, but he gives us instruction he wants us to follow,  like this one and he is not saying “forgive everyone or you will die” he is saying it like “ I’ll be more lenient to forgiving you if you also forgive others”. 
*This verse is letting us know people WILL sin againts you because we are human but just like that you will also sin against someone else, knowingly or not and you will want their forgiveness aswell. 

A: * We need to start forgiving people for the things that they have done because we have that understanding that we are called here to love and to forgive others apart from our calling, because who wants to be walkikng around with a grudge against someone else. That will just be holding you back spiritually and mentally. 
Spiritually in the sense of Gods blessing to you will take longer because of that, that your holding in your heart and mentally because you will can be like I'm not talking to this person because they are friends with this person that did this to me, and you don’t know if that person will help you out later in life. 

P: Lord Jesus I pray that you help me forgive any one that sins against me. That I be able to move on and not let anything hold me back. I pray that your love grows in me, that your love becomes the person I am. Put forgiveness in my heart and fill it with love for everyone even those I walk past by in the streets. I love you my God and I pray I become the woman/man you want me to be my Lord.
